    Dr. Brown gives a rule of thumb: the longer pre-op pain, the more likely post-op will persist. So there is a relationship between pre-op pain and successful repair. My questions:
    1 How successful can repair be in cases of pre-op pain?
    2 Does absence of pre-op pain fairly guarantee successful repair?
    3 Does pre-op pain figure in cases of painful mesh outcomes?
