I was wondering if one could comment on the possible problems of the proflor meshes…they are made of polipropilene so potentially they could break down like the flat meshes? Someone mentioned cellular defects caused by polipropilene? Any thoughts or scientific papers?

Indeed!what I found interesting is that the proflor is self fixatimg and apparently promotes the growth of healthy tissue instead of scar one, as with all the other meshes (not sure about the biological ones)…

Only posting so people can see the product. It is essentially a variation of the common plug-and-patch. Plugs are the only product that most surgeons will speak up against using. They create quite a mess, apparently.

The company making Proflor mesh is bankrupt. I’m pretty sure the mesh is not available in the US.
