Progrip vs Bard 3d max
Seems like many hernia surgeons use bard 3d max mesh for laparoscopic repairs, while others use self fixating progrip. Any opinions on which is best for the patient??? Seems like progrip has some advantages of no need for tacks and 40 percent of the mesh dissolves over time for less foreign body feeling. So what then is advantage of 3d Max? Is it just that it’s quicker to install, easier to work with for the surgeon? Does the patient benefit?

You would want to ask the surgeon why they chose the mesh that they did. Many of them do not actually have a choice.
