I was searching the forum and stumbled upon a 7/2017 post where you’d recommended someone not consider removal even with significant pain after a year because it would “open a whole new can of worms.” It’s my understanding you now believe it’s safe with appropriate risks just a few years later. Is that due to the robot plus experience?

Also, just wondering what you thought would contribute to regular soreness in the groin several years after lap repair with mesh. Could inflammation do that? Or centralized pain? It isn’t nerve pain. There’s also some tightness in the area and a full feeling generally on my right side.

    Thx

Context is important. Everyone is different. I don’t recommend haphazard mesh removal. As much as possible, every intervention must be planned based on evidence and expected outcome.
