    a friend of mine was told that he had a 1-100 risk of testicle loss from hernia surgery. Of all the surgeons I have spoken with not one mentioned this risk. In this video this guy mentions it. He also says the risks of mesh are less than 1 percent. I think that is wrong. Any thoughts on this. Does the risk of testicle loss go up with recurrant hernia surgery?

    Risk of testicle loss goes up the more the blood flow to the testicle is affected. This is more likely if multiple anterior (open) approaches are made in the same groin area.

    Yes it’s possible. Thought it was less risky than the figures your friend supplied.
