For those that have had laparascopic inguinal hernia repair with mesh – have any of you had some jolting/sharp nerve pain with certain leg movements? I am 2 weeks post op and overall pain is generally tolerable (getting better each day), but if I get into and out of the car, in and out of bed, or lift my leg up to get my socks on – i get a sharp jolting pain on my upper and outer thigh. I do not have the pain with sitting, walking, and light activity. ONLY when i lift my leg up towards my chest. Pain will sometimes feel like a burning as well. I believe that the nerves being affected are the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve and the genitofemoral nerve? If any of you have had experience with this – please let me know if things improved or what course of action you had to take! Thanks!!
