The omentum
I’ve wondered about what else is affected during hernia surgery, especially laparoscopic surgery, and have been looking at the omentum. I’ve found some fascinating old articles and some new ones. It seems that it’s been a mystery for quite a while and I suspect that many of today’s lap surgeons just think of it some slippery gooey stuff that needs to be moved out fo the way.
