Jnomesh Thank you for telling your story ! Yes they dont know what to say or what to do…because in order to fix it ..they need to go back into the mess they already created and re do it with open surgery ..But most of them know just how to do short cut with laparoscopic mash inserting ..and no way they know how to reverse.. i believe it is a good money making process for them… that ruined so many lives.Hernia surgery isn’t rocket sincere..was done without problems in the past for decades …

MS;FICS(USA);FICA(USA) respond to Great questions!drkang Dear Dr. Kang, first of all i would like to tell you thank you! for your time you found out your busy schedule to respond to this very unbiased forum .I am not doctor but by watching different no mesh hernia repairs i become a big fan of Dr. Desarda M. P method for simple and common inguinal hernia .It is just makes sense ..i found Shouldice is extremely complex that would take amazing accuracy in handling almost like an oculoplastic surgeon…i don t think we can find so many surgeons with these brilliant qualifications …. I didn’t see your method video..would love to watch ?
Do you have any doctors in America who do your method?
Well dr Brown tells his opinion about Which Type of Hernia Repair is the Best? https://www.sportshernia.com/no-mesh…repair/repair/Also have you heard about updated Shouldice ? Here is info you can go step by step! Doctor claim it is more easy way? http://herniasurgeries.com/treat1.htm What do you think ?

MemberSeptember 7, 2018 at 5:14 am in reply to: Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P. MS;FICS(USA);FICA(USA) respond to Great questions!“Defect specific” word is not applied to direct or indirect typing of hernia. Defect specific treatment means treat only that hole and leave other area as it is.
Because, direct or indirect or femoral types have their own established treatments like mesh or Bassini or Marcy or Shouldice etc.
UhOh! [h=2]Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P. Kindly Responded to your concern ..please read above[/h]

MemberSeptember 4, 2018 at 8:33 am in reply to: Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P. MS;FICS(USA);FICA(USA) respond to Great questions!Hi UhOh It is from Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P. to you ! I wish to add a response to the comment posted by UHOH for his defect specific repair.
“Suppose, patient has a posterior wall of inguinal canal of about an 3” IN LENGTH and the defect Is in any 1” part. According to him, he will close or repair that defect only and would leave other part as it is. Then there are many chances that again another defect might develop in the remaining part resulting into a fresh hernia. SO THE PRINCIPLE OF TREATMENT IS ALWAYS RECONSTRUCT THE ENTIRE POSTERIOR WALL THAT IS STRONG AND PYSIOLOGICALLY DYNAMIC TO GIVE LIFE LONG PROTECTION as is done in our repair. Therefore, we say our repair can be applied to any fresh hernia irrespective of its type or stage or size.”
He also very pleased with our forum..as very nice and healthy “UNBIASED” …He expressed opinion that many posts seen on the different forums are biased in favor of mesh or the technique surgeon is interested in)
I totally Agree with him! He is excellent surgeon and great person! Dog .

P.quote UhOh!:While this may not be untrue (double negative on purpose), it directly contradicts what both Dr. Kang (on here) and Dr. Brown (on his website) say about the suitability of different repairs to different types of hernias.Desarda may be the best universally applicable tissue-only repair, but it sounds as though a less invasive, less extensive, surgery can be done when using a defect-specific repair.
Yes I totally Agree !!!

MemberAugust 28, 2018 at 8:57 pm in reply to: Letter to me directly from Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P.I pressed him more :} I asked him about that person experienced below .. I am trusting Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P. .Still .think this method is the best !
: { https://www.yelp.com/biz/robert-g-burns-md-newport-beach……….I do want to caution people that that the doctor who developed the Desarda method (Dr. Desarda as it turns out) sells the method on his website and has videos of people lifting things just a few days after surgery. This was not my experience. Dr. Burns said it would be 4-6 weeks before I would be healed, and after 6 weeks I was mostly normal, but not 100%. I still had swelling and some discomfort for over 5 months that slowly subsided. After the 5 month mark though, I am probably 98% but still getting a little better every day}
1] I wish to say that “We do not sell our technique as you wrote. Because, I have no monitory gains out of it.” The videos about recovery after surgery is aimed at to show and educate people that even if you lift weights, there is no fear of recurrence nor there is severe pain after this activity against as is seen with mesh repairs.” But we also routinely tell all patients, like Dr Burns, not to do strenuous activities like sports, Gym etc for 4-6 weeks. The reason behind this is –wounds inside are raw and normally it takes more than 4-6 weeks for them to get dry and pain free. So we advise to carry on your normal activities from second day itself as per your pain tolerance levels and sports etc after 4-6 weeks.
2] The ridge like swelling below the scar gets softened and normal over a couple of months. Any swelling other than this may be due to some surgical problem.
3] Some discomfort or stretching pain may be experienced by patients for a varied period of over couple of months. Items 2 and 3 are a part of healing process that may differ from patient to patient.
4] We wrote many times to Dr Burns about 5-6 years ago. He is using our technique for more than 10 years probably. He never responded to our emails.
5] There is no secret about superior results seen with us. It is the skill of the surgeon, how he handles the tissues, spermatic cord, nerves etc. Size of the hernia and any other associated complications also matter. Steps of the operation are fixed and standardized. So any surgeon with good surgical skill and who follows the steps perfectly will get good results. Post operative swelling and pain may differ from patient to patient as both these thing are dependent on patient’s healing power

MemberAugust 28, 2018 at 8:50 pm in reply to: Letter to me directly from Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P.Please read below the my qwesions and respond of Dr. Desarda ..Who known what EOA stand for ?
ANSWERS:
1.I also did watched your You Tube surgery it was very simple and less invasive.. then Shouldice and others no mesh methods.
I liked how you gentle handled the spermatic cord { YOU DIDN’T PULL IT TOMUCH OUT} , you preserved the cremasteric muscle fibers and genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve which are typically divided in Shouldice . Correct ?WE DO NOT DIVIDE ANY NERVE AND PRESERVE THE CREMASTERIC MUSCLE
2. Did you used long term absorbable sutures ( PDS) ? The Shouldice people think this may lead to long term risk of recurrence. I personally am not so sure that there is a difference.
SHOULDICE IS A TENSION REPAIR. DESARDA IS A TENSION FREE REPAIR-SO NO QUESTION OF ANY INCREASED RISK OF RECURRENCE
3. Also could you please let me know what is the main reason when your method could fail ? and who is the best and worst candidates for Desarda method ?
IT CAN HAPPEN IF SURGEON HAS NOT USED TECHNIQUE PERFECTLY OR EOA IS DAMAGED. ALL CANDIDATES EVEN WITH THIN EOA CAN BE REPAIRED BY OUR TECHNIQUE.
4. Does it matter what hernia you have for using your method ? This doctor says it is .. https://www.sportshernia.com/no-mesh-hernia-repair/types-important/
OUR TECHNIQUE CAN BE UNIVERSALLY APPLIED TO ALL TYPES OF INGUINAL HERNIA WITHOUT ANY STAGING OR TYPING. SO NO NEED TO CLASSIFY THE HERNIA TO DECIDE FOR THE TYPE OF REPAIR

MemberAugust 21, 2018 at 5:46 am in reply to: Letter to me directly from Prof. Dr. Desarda M. P.Cremasteric muscle is removed in Shouldice and get damaged in mesh repair. We do not remove cremasteric muscle. We maintain all muscles and nerves and all structures therein.

MemberAugust 20, 2018 at 10:12 pm in reply to: What causes a pure-tissue hernia repair to fail? And how?Collagen Complete contains vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed collagen. Each of these ingredients protect collagen production, stimulate collagen production, or do both. Let’s examine how each of these essential ingredients works to the benefit of your skin, hair, bones, and joints:
- Vitamin C – Vitamin C is used to make all 18 types of collagen found in the body. It combines with lysine and proline, two amino acids, to form the first precursor of collagen, known as “procollagen.” As an antioxidant, vitamin C also protects existing collagen from damage.
- Hyaluronic Acid – Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and regulates and repairs cell growth. It is found in connective tissues and is needed to bind collagen and elastin. By doing so, it increases elasticity and protects cartilage throughout the body as well as the skin.
- Hydrolyzed Collagen – Hydrolyzed collagen contains amino acids, including glycine, proline, and lysine, which the body uses to build connective tissue and regulate cell growth. This offers comprehensive, collagen-related benefits to the hair, skin tissue, muscle, cartilage, ligaments, and blood cells.
- Other Antioxidants – Antioxidants such as vitamin E, rosehip, and acerola cherry can also protect existing collagen from free radical damage. You’re regularly exposed to free radicals through the body’s normal processes (like digestion), as the body breaks down medicine, and through environmental pollutants. By consuming fruits, vegetables, and supplements with a wide range of antioxidants, you can protect against this damage.
Poor sleep has long been connected with increased stress hormones, which increases inflammation in the body. This can exacerbate existing skin problems, including the breakdown of both collagen and hyaluronic acid. As we mentioned above, both of these molecules are responsible for a glowing, healthy complexion and a reduction in fine lines and other age-related issues. To put it simply: The longer you’re asleep, the more time you give your body to produce more collagen and hyaluronic acid.
Studies have also found a connection between sleep and the production of human growth hormone (HGH). Without sufficient levels of HGH in the body, it’s common to experience issues such as lower cell reproduction as well as growth problems. Adequate sleep helps combat these issues because the body secretes the most HGH shortly after the onset of sleep and continues through the first phase of slow-wave sleep. And, because HGH stimulates collagen production in muscles and tendons, sleep is necessary for the body to repair, rebuild, and refresh each night.
If you struggle to fall or stay asleep, there are steps you can take to improve the quality of your rest. Many natural ingredients, including melatonin, passionflower extract, valerian root, and GABA, can help with this.
Consider the benefits of each:
- Melatonin – The pineal gland secretes melatonin when the body is exposed to lower levels of light, especially at night between 2 and 5 am. Melatonin regulates circadian rhythms and is commonly used as a sleep aid.
- Passionflower Extract – Passionflower extract is a well-known sedative that stops muscle spasms, calms the mind, and helps those who feel anxious fall and stay asleep.
- Valerian Root – Valerian is a tall, flowering grassland plant that is known to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep and may help individuals sleep better. Nervous, anxious, and depressed individuals benefit most from valerian, as do those with epilepsy, ADHD, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
- GABA – GABA is a natural neurotransmitter that reduces anxiety while increasing alpha waves in the brain. It is often used to prevent insomnia, combat restlessness, and works against muscle spasms.
