Positive hernia repair research stories

[Good intentions]

My last two posts are cynical and negative. If anyone has a story or a link to an article about somebody making an effort to improve the hernia repair mesh situation, feel free to post it here. Anything will do, a new “real” registry effort, or an effort to ban a known bad mesh product, or a paper describing a new repair method with proven results.

It would be great if there was actual progress to talk about in reducing the volume of chronic pain cases from hernia mesh. That would be something to be thankful for.
