• Surgeon that advertises mesh removal, in NYC, and mesh implantation

  I was browsing through the Google search results of “hernia mesh” (the first 19 pages are almost all lawsuit ads!) and found a surgeon’s web site that actually, explicitly describes mesh removal as something that they do. On the same web site they also describe using mesh for laparoscopic repairs. I also came across an interview with Dr. Brown where he describes removing mesh that he had implanted himself. Part of his realization that mesh repairs were not better than pure tissue repairs. Dr. Kang has said the same thing, he used to do mesh but saw the results and went back to pure tissue.

  Anyway, these three links are interesting reading. The third one has an annoying loud ad that starts playing soon after you open it so turn your volume down.
