    Dear Dr Kang and Stephen .Stephen .i looked on the video that linzee posted and thinking that Dr.Kang approach that give a few clues how Dr Kong performs the operation.
    He implies that he just repairs the inguinal floor for direct hernias and repairs the
    internal ring for indirect inguinal hernias… his approach to only repair
    what is damaged…Please confirm ? .it means no specific method ?

    Hernia repair is something we are extremely well known for and do on a weekly basis, unfortunately because Dr. Repta is also a reconstructive surgeon with privileges at all the major hospitals it’s almost impossible to keep track of the # of performed surgeries, but I can assure you he is extremely knowledgeable.

    To answer your question about the method in which Dr. Repta uses; he does know all methods, however, we would need to set up a consult to see what your specific case needs, but we do in fact offer a 100% mesh free surgery.

    To date we do not have any patients that needed a second surgery, and have great testimonials for our hernia repairs on our social media as well as our Realself, that we recommend looking at.

    The cost of an inguinal hernia could run $8,000-$14,000- That’s the best range I can give without a consult.

    drkang Dearest Dr. Kang,

    IIt is Amazing ! Thank You! I deeply appreciate your curiously because beginning celebrity in my field of expertise , i understand that success can create jealousy
    I also promise to share info about you on my Pet Radio show…my followers very worry about my upcoming surgery:}
    Could you please let us know what do you attribute such a Amazing record .. and what is your secret component? Also please let us know what would be the process to get
    it done by you in Korea .and cost in US dollars.

    I would love that everyone read it..because it is standards for quality care. Unlike many other doctors who i even afraid to go and have no trust..just see their greed…

    Dr Kang you show compassion combined with excellence ! It is my believe that just a few doctors{we call them NO mesh activist s} can get truly outstanding result with no mesh..

    But those doctors must do just no mesh surgery only ! for instance Dr Brown stated that his recurrence rate is less the 3 % ..he also expert for no mesh surgery only.

    Also a few outstanding doctors who do both mesh and no mesh like founder of this forum Shirin Towfigh M.D and few others we talk here all the time who also can get comparable excellent result. BUT Just a few…now including that unbelievable NEW performer Superstar Dr. Repta from Arizona ..he is handsome young abdominal plastic surgeon his hand working like a laser beam ..look for his videos how he is performing that stupid mesh removal on overweight people or just simply fix any hernia…of course he doesn’t do such volume of hernia surgeries like hernia doctors but recurrence according their records close to 0

    But the rest,,Forget it :}

    Below is the typical record for the rest….they possibly do great mesh surgery …sorry just not for me.

    Just to let you know about the recurrence rate without using a mesh for hernia repair, is 25%.

    Thank you,

  • quote jeremy b:

    hello all, below is my progress ~1 month post-surgery:
    The swelling has decreased to about half.
    There is still a very hard lump around the incision site, deeper than skin level.
    Numbness still remains from the incision to the base of my package.
    Walking and general movement has become less painful, i even went snowboarding with no issues.
    I hope the healing continues and can get to a point where i’m glad to have had it done.

    Dog, in response to your message; dr. Grischkan only performs shouldice.
    I researched all methods and watched loads of surgeries to come to my conclusion on choosing this method and surgeon. Was it a good choice? Time will tell; i’m about a month in and the negative issues vs positive is about the same as if i still had the hernia, just different. The major positive thing is not having to worry if my hernia is out or not and constantly checking myself down there (what a nightmare for years). The negative issues are a hard lump, numbness, minor pain which will all hopefully diminish with time.

    Why i chose shouldice and not desarda.
    Desarda method seems to alter the anatomy more than shouldice; it incorporates a strip of external oblique and moves it down to the deepest fascia layer. Shouldice seems to repair the issue directly by suturing the facia back together. My thinking is that your anatomy is closer to how it was before the hernia existed once tissues have remodeled. With desarda you’re always going to have a piece of external oblique sewn down into a deeper layer rendering your anatomy vastly different from original. Shouldice also has an extensive track record regarding recurrence and chronic pain. I couldn’t find enough information on desarda other than dr. Desarda himself promoting this method. I guess what is important is that the repair will hold and not feel strange or painful long term.

    Regards,
    jeremy

    sooo glad you are better!!!!!

    Dear Good intentions I meant to ask you. When they removed mesh ,what kind of repairing did they do on you .? And no problems with hernia recurrence after that correct ? So if they could do good pure tishies fix
    after mess already was created with placement and removing implant ….What kind of problem or what kind of doctor stupidity happened , that they didn’t offer you to do without mesh in the first place?..that could be done even more easy and more durable ?
