    Hi

I have done umbilical and inguinal hernia by laprascopy since 2 weeks now … the incision site is clear and no swelling but still have almost continuous medium pain and burning sensation in the abdomen which becomes very sensitive even to touch … also since 3 days I have pain in the testicles and it hurts when I touch them firmly … so what do you think is the problem … my surgeon say it need more time but I feel horrible since 2 weeks and suspect that may be something wrong … like mesh irritates the site and nerves … so please advise … shall I wait and suffer more and for how long ? Or shall I ask the surgeon to remove the mesh or that us too early to decide … your help and support is highly appreciated

Many Thanks and waiting your detailed reply

Everyone is a bit different. If local injection helps, then that’s the best first step. In severe cases, I remove and redo the repair.

    Thanks a lot

Wearing a binder may take some pressure off. Your symptoms sound like the repair may be a bit tight. Hard to judge without examining you.

    Thank you

so if the repair is a bit tight then it will take more time to heal or it might need intervention and how to solve it

Ok Great … I will wait 1 week and hope it gets better … In the meantime I will use ice and about local anesthetic… what do you recommend ? can I use lidocaine cream ?

i notice that when I press my hand a little on the site then pain is reduced a little so do you recommend wearing a hernia belt

Thanks a lot and have a great day

Thanks alot for your reply drtowfigh … so what can I do now … shall I wait some days and see if the pain gets better and if not shall I consult my doctor again and ask him about stated points … how can I verify if there is a real problem like too tight repair or it just need more time to recover and if it is too tight repair then how to solve it

by the way I have done with same above operation repair with mesh in right inguinal and it is ok and there is NO burning pain as per the umbilical site

again … I appreciate your support and help

    Best Regards
