Emergency surgery was preformed in Virginia while visiting family. I recovered well and was cleared to return to Alabama where i live.
A Bard Davol perfix xl plug 4×5 cm not sure if size is correct.. design has a ring plug with a flat overlaying mesh sutured to pubic tubular and my inguinal tendon. Leg, back, genital, lower right abdomen and groin pain started after almost a year with only incision area complications. I dropped my gabapentin prescription and bent over to pick them up as I attempted to straighten back up pain fired from the area of my inguinal ligament radiating in all directions. This continued to intensify as i stood back upright. Gastrologist cant locate any digestive issues explaining my loss of weight. neurologist cant locate any signs or evidence of nerve damage anywhere she has looked and believes i may just have torn or severed something resulting in additional complications that only may be seen on mri imagery. Surgeons are refusing due to the fact they see no evidence of the hernia returning on ct performed by another er facility that disproved their previous diagnosis that my inguinal hernia occurred again. They claimed scare tissue is pressing on the nerves but nerve blockers have stopped or eased any of my pains or symptoms.

They continue to say we gone blame it on something else other than the mesh. Mesh don’t cause all my symptoms if they malfunction and any infections would show up in urine and blood samples. So our opinion of your condition is all thats needed no need for any other testing and If i want a mri contact the operating surgeon.
