Monika, I wish I had found somewhere but don’t let me put you off… They all do non mesh listed and may be really good.

It would be nice if someone could find some reviews about any of the UK ones but I’ve looked high and low and can’t.

Other than Simon Bailey in relation to mesh removal though!

Thanks Watchful. Who would you recommend in Germany? Are you still thinking of where you will go?

    William,

There are a few excellent tissue repair surgeons in Germany. It seems like that could be a good option.

I’d love to not have to travel Monika but of the UK surgeons offering tissue most seem to favour mesh in first instant – and all point out just as much risk of chronic pain and more of recurrence with tissue than mesh.

It’s like they are reluctant to offer tissue repair.

Dr Pawlak seems to favour it though but only for very small hernias.

Hope I’m not doing any of them a disservice but that’s how it comes across.

    Hi William ,
Are you thinking of going to Oxford hernia clinic? Do you know if they are good at the bassini repair? It would be amazing if you could just get your hernia done in the Uk .

I get that. It’s a shame they all prefer mesh repair . To be honest even tho I am in Sydney I would be super happy to go to UK for the op 🙂 it just feels better as that’s where I lived for a long time and my family is there too so it wouldn’t feel so daunting and scary . I was just hopeful you found something in the UK.
