ParticipantIt’s funny but I can’t find a Topic dedicated to listing non-mesh repair surgeons. I thought that there was one on the site.
I have been coming across more surgeons who offer non-mesh repairs so will try to keep this Topic updated as I find them.
Here is one. Dr. Richard Nguyen, in the San Jose, CA area. Like Dr. Brown, he advertises as a “sports hernia” specialist, but also does non-mesh hernia repairs.

ParticipantI had thought the web site name was familiar, it is Dr. Brown’s old web site. It seems to be true that Dr. Brown has retired. Some of my old sportshernia.com links still show Dr. Brown’s work, but with the new title and symbol. Good luck to both of them.

ParticipantDr Ulrike Muschaweck can be contacted separately also and a quick google will locate contact details.
Dr Muschaweck is well known internationally for treating famous football (soccer) players and is apparently in her 70’s now.

ParticipantMr Duncan Light, UK NHS, offers Desarda repairs when requested, albeit mainly specialises in lap mesh surgery.
He’s listed on the Desarda website as a surgeon offering the Desarda repair as are many other surgeons from around the world and a google will no doubt bring up additional contact info.

A google will find his details.

ParticipantDr Joachim Conze of the Munich Hernia Centre offers a tailored approach based on ultrasounds he conducts himself and what is uncovered during surgery.
He specialises in Shouldice repairs and can do Desarda also.
He used to work with Dr Ulrike Muschaweck at the Munich Hernia centre, I believe, before taking over. Costs appear much higher than Biohernia, similar to Dr Muschaweck’s.
Seems very well renowned. According to the website, he’s Secretary General of the German Hernia Society and on the board of the European Hernia Society.

ParticipantHere are two I found in Houston, TX that can do pure tissue, no mesh… but they prefer mesh. One is Dr. Wade Rosenberg. When I saw him he told me he did a modified Bassini. The other one is Dr. Richard Andrassy. He was one of the first ones I saw and I couldn’t really get a good answer on the procedure that he used. But he prefers mesh. Wasn’t real comfortable with either, but just mentioning their names as one can do their own due diligence since pure tissue seems very hard to find. They are both older, so perhaps they were trained in pure tissue repair?
