Hi Chuck, I require one correction from your statement Reply#33277 made on 12/24/2022 at 4:08pm. You wrote, “Stephen told me direct hernias don’t have to bulge…”
It was my mistake to explain so simply.
To get rid of any misunderstanding, I want to say, “There always is bulging in hernia, but in the biggining stage because it is so small it may not be noticeable. Therefore, to find out whether there is hernia or not, it must be diagnosed through dynamic sono/ ultrasound.”
I always thank you for precious contribution.
    Happy New year!

Hi guys, Chuck said, “Stephen kwon says Dr Kang can get to the bottom of it…with hands on diagnosis…ultrasound and mri if needed…though he says its never needed.”
I just simply want to make it clear. Dr. Kang diagnoses always with his ‘dynamic sono (ultra-sound).’ He says MRI is not necessary. That’s it. I really thank Chuck for his precious statement all the time.

    Hi guys,
I am residing in S.Korea and helping international patients coming to the country.
New gov’t policy has been announced regarding quarantine.
From June 8th no self-isolate quarantine is required,
and neither any vaccinations, which means you can enter S.Korea whether you are vaccinated or not. Good news!
But PCR tests are still needed.
    Just read the following:

    https://kr.usembassy.gov/022420-covid-19-information/

    Thank you guys.

Further explanation on quarantine in Korea:
The cost about 100USD including three meals is for a day. So for 7 days the cost will be about 700USD. A couple of months ago it was 14 days. As said the restriction will be eased down as time goes by.

Preveously I wrote two graphs will follow, of the recurrence of ‘indrect’ and ‘direct’ inguinal hernias.

Especially for those coming from abroad, we are paying more attention to prevent recurrence, but for those who recur, surgery is provided free of charge for treatment. Kang Repair is relatively easy to reoperation because the adherence is not severe even when recurrence occurs.
COVID-19 is currently required to self-isolate on the 7th day*, and there is a possibility that quarantine policies will be further eased soon.
*As soon as you arrive in Korea, you are sent to a hotel of quarantine for 7 days for now with three meals a day provided for the cost of about 100USD depending on the hotel assigned by immigration/quarantine officer(s).

    Hello,
I am Stephen, who is working to respond to non-Korean international patients who are curious about Kang Repair. I’ve been doing this for 13 years now. I am also currently translating the book ‘Kang Repair’ written by Dr. Kang. That’s why I know Kang Repair (hernia surgery) very well.
Many people seem to find it difficult to believe because the known results of Kang Repair are too good to believe. It is true that it is difficult to believe the outstanding results of Kang Repair because most of the hernia surgery methods currently being implemented worldwide have many problems. But I know well that all of these results are true because I watched closely for a long time.
Kang Repair began in 2013 and has undergone several upgrade processes so far, and has been fixed as the current surgical method 27 months ago for ‘indirect’ inguinal hernia and 36 months ago for ‘direct’ inguinal hernia.
With this final surgical method, 812 ‘indirect’ inguinal hernias have been operated so far, and 722 ‘direct’ inguinal hernias have been operated. Among them, there was 0 case of ‘indirect’ recurrence and 6 cases of ‘direct’ recurrence.
It is said that there was no preoperative patient selection at all.
For your information, I attach graphs related to recurrence received from Dr. Kang. Please note this data is internal data that has not been published. I heard that few patients complain of chronic postoperative pain.
There are many testimonials in Korean about Kang Repair. They are not written in English, so foreigners cannot understand them, but we can hardly find a negative testimonial. It can be guessed from the fact that Gibbeum Hospital is performing the most hernia surgeries in Korea.
I was worried that you might misunderstand it as promoting, but I think many people are curious about the truthfulness of Kang Repair’s results, so I post a brief introduction.
    *Two graphs will follow

    Dear linzee and dog,

Thank you linzee for sharing your experience.

And dog, I just answer your question here. I just talked with Dr.kang: “

On another note ..i just curious if had chance to remove mesh from patience and what did you do after ..stitched them back without mesh immediately?” His answer is “YES.”

    D

    ear linzee and dog,

I just talked with Dr.Kang during the lunch today. He expressed great thanks to linzee for the sharing and asked me to answer the following question of dog on behalf of himself : “On another note ..i just curious if had chance to remove mesh from patience and what did you do after ..stitched them back without mesh immediately?” His answer is “YES.” You guys can ask me ‘administrative’ questions regarding hernia repair in Korea by Dr.Kang

  • Oh I’m very sorry for late reply. Seven days will be good enough for your stay in Seoul.
The day you arrive you take a rest. The next day you check your hernia by Dr. Kang with ultrasound. Based on the test result you have a surgery or repair that day or you can set up a date for repair. At the repair day if you don’t sense any serious pain, you can be discharged in the evening. For a few days rest at a hotel room with walking and small excercise, you can fly back home anywhere in the world.

Today an American man in his 50’s came to Gipum hospital and went through the test and no mesh hernia surgery/ repair by Dr. Kang. This evening or tomorrow he will go back to his hotel room for recovery. Four or five days later according to his schedule he’ll go back home. He may want to have a small sightseeing in Seoul before he leaves for home.

The total medical cost is 2,950 US$ for one side hernia (for both sides the cost will be 3.950 US$). No more extra charge unless you stay at a upper class hospital room(100-200 US$ additional). It’s a lump sum deal. If you are in financial difficulty, ask Dr. Kang for discount. He’s a generous man.

I just give you a link of my interview clip with Bruce from Boston MA, USA.

  • Sorry David, I haven’t found it for a long time.
Don’t know the reason but am very happy to read it today after two moths you wrote it.
Ever since you went back home, a US man from Cambodia, an Australian youngman from Melborne, a UK man from London, and a US man beauticianist from Los Amgeles have come to us and gone back home successfully

with their no-mesh inguinal hernia repairs

, either direct or indirect, so far no comlication, recurrence, or complaint has been reported. One American artist is to come tomorrow for the same meshless repair.

David, if you can, you post up your story in about a year, so that we may know how your repaired hernia is healed.

I’m the chaplain and English language interpreter of Gipum Hospital in Seoul Korea. You may say, “It’s too good to be true,” but it is true. The above Koreaherniaman, whom I took care of from the first call to discharge, is an American English teacher who is invited by the Korean Gov’t for English education for Korean students. Therefore he is on National Health Insurance for which his school boss pays the insurance premium. Go to the following site: http://global.gipumhospital.com/engl…ia-center.html You’ll see the detail of the hernia repair by Dr. Kang and the cost. Let me tell you, if you are on Korean National Health Insurance, for hernia reapir for one side the total medical cost you pay from 410,000won – 820,000won, as of Nov 2016, now slightly more than that, equivalent to 370usd – 740usd, for both sides from 600,000won – 1,140,000won (540usd – 1,000usd). But if you do not have the insurance you pay 2,700usd through 3,600usd, still amazingly low, compared to the cost in USA or any other country.

Well, sooner or later, Dr. Kang will write a paper about his surgery method and possibly post videos

No injections are required or recommended.
