That’s just how I understand it from the posts on that thread.
I could be wrong so would recommend reading it yourself… Hope it’s some use

I know exactly what you mean about affecting life, it’s like I have two me’s. The me before and the me after, it’s on my mind a lot and difficult to forget. Ive never had my trousers down so much when I just check it.
In recovery, have you had much pain? Any extra measures youve taken at all? Laxitives, ice packs?
Thanks

Can I repeat and ask some questions to you Mike M…
What were symptoms? What made you finally get surgery? How’s recovery going? -

Can I just ask what symptoms did you have. I’m fairly fortunate in that I get a bit of aching, slight discomfort/pain but nothing too bad. Usually at end of day.I get a bit confused trying to remember where each poster has had surgery! Mind you I’m easily confused, I think yours was at Shouldice Canada? I take it that went well.
How long did you struggle on and wait before surgery?

MemberMay 5, 2022 at 1:44 pm in reply to: HELP…Reducible or Incarcerated? How to tell? Thanks Mark, I think it used to go flatter quicker on lying down.
Also I’m not sure if it goes as flat as it used to.
To be reducible does it have to go absolutely flat?
It’s pretty close to being flat!

Definitely yes to these 2…
– international list of surgeons, physical therapists, pain specialists, etc., who can meet your needs? What information do you want to know on that list?
Certainly Type of surgery then maybe anaestethic/experience/sutures etc– Would it be helpful to have a list of patients who are willing to be reached for guidance… Yes!
Also an edit facility. Unless there is one and I’ve missed it.
Thanks

I will be going to Dr. Kang either with my father or without though.

One more thing concerning me… Dr Kang and retirement… I’ve never thought about that before as when I’ve seen photos of him he looks so young. Is he thinking if retirement? Hope not in the foreseeable future as I’m hoping to go near end of year?

Think I’m getting forgetful!

How did you get from hospital to hotel? I ask as I believe Pinto and Dr Kang think it may have been bumpy taxi that caused issues for Pinto?
It may not be an issue for those stayed at hospital though. But thought I’d better check.

MemberApril 19, 2022 at 5:17 am in reply to: Dr. Kang, Gibbeum Hospital, Stephen Kwon, and more REVIEWBrilliant Mike, thanks very much for that. Greatly appreciated and very helpful.
I’m sure there will be loads of questions. But some that I would be please to have answered would be…
Cost: for me this is a bit of a factor as I’d be from UK and staying… How much do you think the total bill was? Including 2 week hotel stay, food, everything really
Pain relief: Did you take anything? How long for?
Constipation: Did you take laxitives as a precaution?
Sonograph: is this included in operation price?
Once again, thanks very much for being so thoughtful as to leave such a detailed review. I am determined to travel to south Korea now. I may have to wait for some payments and finance in place but your report has put my mind at rest and helped make decision fae easier.
Many thanks.
